Pam Ross was born in Pittsburgh, PA but lived most of her life in Houston, TX. Her music defies being locked into a particular genre, which has led fans to start calling her sound Pam Music. She uniquely blends americana, country, rock, blues, folk, and pop into a sound that is fresh and original. Pam launched her music career in Houston where she first exposed the world to her original songs through open mic venues. After quickly gaining a reputation as an energic performer and soulful songwriter, Pam began touring throughout Texas.
Pam later moved to Nashville and became recognized as one of the up-and-coming songwriters to watch. Rover Sovine of BMI, took an interest in her career and began booking her in BMI showcases. Her lucky break came when she met with country songwriting legend and senior director of A&R at Mercury Records, Gary Harrison. He was impressed with Pam’s songwriting and vocal power and offered her a record deal. Sadly, the opportunity never came to fruition and Pam returned to Houston.
Pam moved to North Carolina in 2020. In 2022, she gathered up some incredible musicians and recorded her debut album, When Therapy Fails, which was released in January 2023. Four singles from her debut album have broken into the top 10 on the UK iTunes rock and country charts and Indie Music Network Charts. Her single Better Than a Good Thing reached #1 on the iTunes folk / rock chart in the UK and won the new music challenge on Nashville radio station WHNE 101.3. Two Shots of Tequila reached #2 on Bandwagon Network Radio and #21 on Cashbox Magazine's americana chart. She has received airplay on multiple radio stations including WHNE 101.3 in Nashville and QDR 94.7 in Raleigh.
In 2024, Pam won Female Multi-Genre Artist of the year at the Josie Awards and her album, When Therapy Fails, was named one of the best indie albums of the year by Inscriber Magazine. In 2023, she also won Musician of the Year at the Who's Hoo Country Music Awards and Fan Favorite in the Independent Music Network Awards. Her energetic performances and soulful songwriting make her a memorable experience to see live. She splits most of her time between North Carolina and Nashville but can also be found performing at venues around the country.
