This tasty Wee Heavy was part one of our parti-gyle brew day. We used an ancient brewing technique where you use the same grain and create multiple mashes with it in the same Tun, hence the name.

This Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy is definitely lives up to its name. The heavy bodied ale is filled with malt flavors of fig, raisin, caramel, and chocolate. The warmth of the alcohol and the smooth, sweet finish almost give you the impression that you're drinking brandy. Finishes with a hint of peaty smoke. A true Wee Heavy, this 9.8% beer will hit you like a ton of - well, you get it.

Doing this parti-gybe was really cool and challenging. Imagine having to build two recipes that could create two very different beer styles but use the exact same ingredients. But the hard work definitely paid off with these new brews.
