This delicious ESB was part two of our parti-gyle brew day. We used an ancient brewing technique where you use the same grain and create multiple mashes with it in the same Tun, hence the name.

This Extra Special Bitter is true to style but not to it's name. It's not bitter but, in fact, actually a very balanced malt-forward beer. Lot's of toffee, caramel, and nutty flavors are in play with a dry, earthy finish.

Doing this parti-gybe was really cool and challenging. Imagine having to build two recipes that could create two very different beer styles but use the exact same ingredients. But the hard work definitely paid off with these new brews.
